Award-winning creative director Marty Ittner has been recognized by Print magazine, AIGA DC 50 Show, Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington and Logo Lounge. Her work is published in Rockport books, including 1,000 Greetings,1,000 More Greetings, Mastering Materials, Bindings and Finishes and Letterhead & Logo Design 11. Marty’s years in top design studios such as Greenfield/Belser, AURAS Design and Bell Atlantic Creative Services laid the foundation for the friendly, consistently creative and detail-driven style of m-Art, which marked its 10th anniversary in 2007. Loyal clients include National Geographic, the Smithsonian Institution and the Washington National Opera.
Marty is also a screenprinter, letterpress printer and encaustic collage artist—continuing the "m" brand with the launch of m-Caustic. She teaches screenprinting and digital art at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center in Silver Spring, MD. Marty received her bachelors degree in graphic design in 1979 from American University in Washington, DC, and continued her art studies at the Corcoran School of Art and Design and the School of Visual Art and Center for Book Arts in New York City. Marty serves as Section 2 Steward for Friends of Sligo Creek, keeping a vigilant eye on a local watershed.
O U R P R O M I S E to the environment: from everyday practices like printing on both sides of copier paper (and then recycling it), donating paper samples to children, repurposing almost everything, to wider actions such as organizing Sligo Creek cleanups, keeping up with recycled paper technology and FSC supply chain awareness, m-Art is dedicated to green graphic design.
