For the Love of Flea Markets

Posted on September 9, 2011 in Flea Finds

Where else could you shop for doll heads, ant poison and gas masks? The fabulous flea market, of course. Each venue carries their own regional bent. Known as a "Swap Meet" in California, the Navy town of San Diego featured a wealth of military surplus, and wide brimmed hats. I love the element of surprise and how each table is a ready made collage.

Only New York City can get away with a posh shop called "Acne". It sure caught
my attention, but not enough to shop.
